I found out from my wonderful flist that Katee is joining 24. I am squealing with happiness! The show hasn't been good for a while, but I was happy with how it ended and the fact that it seemed like they were going back to the family element of the series that I loved so much the first three seasons. And now with Katee joining the cast? That can only be a good thing.

But...also...Freddie Prinze Jr. is joining the cast. And will be Katee's boyfriend on the show. Oh. Oh, dear.

Also reminded me that I made some 24 quotage icons ages ago so if you like the show and want to pimp, check 'em out. They're pretty funny.

This was a decently entertaining episode. 24 hasn't been brilliant since season three and it has never come close to reaching the awesomeness of the first season so at this point I am watching it purely for the shallow entertainment factor. Evil!Tony continues to be hard to watch considering what a sweet softie he used to be, but after losing Michelle back in season four, I can sort of buy his turn to the dark side. I think his acting is much better when he's evil too, so that helps.

I'm so happy that they're finally bringing Kim back to play a pivotal role, even if it's really going to be for the final episode. I lost major interest in this series when she left and the family aspect of Jack Bauer was essentially lost. He's far more 3-dimensional when his daughter's in the mix, it's just too bad that she's going to be playing damsel in distress again for the finale. Hmm.

HOLY SHIT THIS IS INTENSE. But still far too much teasing for my liking. I was told these last four eps would be the equivalent of a Tony/Ziva movie but so far their screentime has been limited. I guess it's all been building up to next week's episode which is insane. It was pretty obvious that Tony would end up killing Rivkin, and I totally guessed that he would get a nice shard of glass in the side so GO ME. I'm a little disappointed that Tony's concern does seem to be mostly professional. Not only because I like the T/Z pairing but because I find it difficult to swallow that Tony would be so quick to jump to conclusions about Ziva after working side by side with her for four years. He really thinks she'd betray him and NCIS especially if it was a matter of national security? Really? It's disappointing. But obviously jealousy is also playing a role here and blinding Tony to certain truths. Ziva's pining is starting to get a bit annoying, as is her constant, "you're jealous" accusations. It's obvious she's in love with him and desperately wants him to show some of that same feeling towards her, but she's being so un-Mossad about it. Stop beating around the bush, Ziver!

I also don't get how strong her feelings were for Rivkin. In Legend Part I and Part II, she really seemed rather indifferent towards him and more worried about what Tony thought, so I figured that she was definitely on some kind of undercover op that involved deceiving Tony and the rest of the NCIS gang. But this week she seemed far more affectionate towards him. So I'm confused. If she really did care about him, her reconciliation with Tony is going be a long and arduous road, which is sad but it'll be interesting to watch.

I'm afraid Ziva's going to be staying in Israel with her Daddy after next week and that's how the season is going to end. But there's no way Cote de Pablo's leaving the show, right? RIGHT?!?!

Just give Adam Lambert the fucking gold medal already! The dude is clearly the best singer of them all, and if he doesn't win then the entire voting system is flawed anyway and the competition really isn't about talent. I was so glad when Simon made a point to say that you can't assume Adam's going to make it to the finale so VOTE FOR HIM. His rendition of 'One' was different, but a little too over the top for me. I loved 'Crying'. He killed that for sure. Nothing will come close to 'Ring of Fire' and 'Mad World' for me, but damn if I don't enjoy watching him try. Hitting all those crazy notes is just effortless for him.

Kris was not bad last night. 'Apologize' was definitely just average but enjoyable to listen to but I LOVED 'Heartless'. That was awesome. It was actually probably my favourite performance of the night. As for Gokey...I just want to punch that guy right in his vampire teeth. Hate him. All of his songs sound the same to me. He's still going to make it to the finale though, unfortunately.

I dig this show. Fillion's the fucking man and the lead actress is starting to grow on me even though I really wasn't fond of her at the very beginning. I'm intrigued to find out what the story is with her mother's murder. Obviously not a random killing. Too bad that Castle telling her what happened is going to put a huge rift between them going into the second season. Also, Buffy fans, I hope you noticed the actor playing her ex-boyfriend! It's Riley's friend, Graham! His acting was dreadfully dull on Buffy but he's doing quite good here. And he's easy on the eyes.
Bones finale is on tonight. Somewhat exciting because of what's going to be happening. Hee.

I'm still fucking pissed that Lost & Found isn't going to get picked up. I'm just going to blame Jay Leno if that's cool with you guys. >:(

Oh! Also! I saw Star Trek and Wolverine last Friday. The Trek was fucking awesome (please do me, Chris Fiiiiiiiine) and Wolverine was very mediocre and cheesy. Which is too bad. They messed with backstory in a way that I wasn't too fond of. Hmm.

Very shallow observation: is it just me or are they setting up Crews and Reese? Can't say I'd complain! I've been hoping for that all along. The way that last scene was shot, with them reaching out to touch each other's hands but being just out of reach, and later, when she looks at him with this sort of beatific expression on her face. It made me achey! In a good way!

Of course, the fact that I'm hoping for these two means they'll get fucked over in some spectacular way. :)
