OK, that was....wow. Probably my favourite of the season.
More thoughts tomorrow hopefully, once I've thought about it more. Feel free to comment with your thoughts.
First, I would like to say that I miss my Lee Adama. He better be in next week's episode.
Second, my poor Kara! She was so freaked out by what the Hybrid told her, but she seemed to pull herself together by the end surprisingly well. Which is a bit strange, isn't it, considering she pretty much admits aloud that she doesn't actually know the way to Earth? I was sort of confused about her vision, though. What she saw when she "died" was - the future? She saw the Cylon civil war, and that's it? WTF? I don't get it, and I don't get why she was so happy when she saw that, because doesn't that confirm that she wasn't seeing Earth? Or did that just tell her that they were on the right track on the WAY to Earth? I'm a little confused.
ETA: Did the Hybrid really say something about "the children of the one reborn"? Kara's children?!
So we have confirmation that the Five are from the Thirteenth Tribe. We didn't know that before, did we? And oh shit, they think the Five will know the way to Earth, which they clearly don't. Unless they do...but they don't know that they know? LOL.
Sam, Sam, Sam. He's starting to go nuts for realz. Trucco's performance after Barolay was killed was amazing, but his back and forth was kind of strange. He had this murderous rage for the Cylons on the one hand, and yet this unbelievably human compassion for the dying Eight. Which really actually makes perfect sense, if you think about it. The boy is so utterly confused right now.
LAURA. Wow, those scenes pretty much killed me. Mary's performance was unbelievable, as was Nana Visitor's. It was so sad, and I'm more convinced than ever that we're going to be losing our President for good not too long from now. That last scene with her and Papadama? OH JOY/SADNESS. They're too amazing together.
Also, JO DOES NOT LIKE LEOBEN TOUCHING KARA. I wish Sam would have kept him farther away from my girl. I can't help it, my dislike is a Starbuck fangirl reflex.
