Song: All The Way Down Artist: Glen Hansard Vidder: canadiangirl_86 Pairing: Lee/Kara Summary: "You have broken me, all the way down." Lee's POV. Spoilers: Up to 'The Son Also Rises'. Download: Sendspace Size: 17MB
Ahahaha. I knew you'd like it if I used one of Glen's songs! :P No, actually, I've been listening to the soundtrack a lot. There's some really cool songs. But Marketa's voice sort of grates after a while so I stopped listening to hers. They're still very good though. ;)
I'm so glad (minus the Marketa bit, but she'll win you over :P)! I should send you the latest Frames CD because it's along the lines of the soundtrack (they even rerecorded Falling Slowly for it).
I love that you're exposing new people to the music though. They should all go see the movie! *grin*
Hee. I'm really happy that you enjoyed it, thanks! It's kinda rushed and there were probably different moments I could have used that would have worked better but I went with the flow I guess. And with pretty pilots can you ever go wrong?
Shit. I keep avoiding that long, gen vid I was planning. Argh.
Dude! We're up to almost 90 members at sasa_hq! Go us!
Oh wow, I just checked, and we're watched by 101! Coolness.

Oh man, I can relate. Every time I sit down to finish one thing I get stuck so I switch to doing something easier. But then I've been so crazy lately it's down to zippo. Ah well, in a few days I'll be free. For reals this time.
And no, you can never go wrong with pretty pilots! I know right now you only see the things you'd improve, but trust me, this is good. :)
Actually, you probably won't find the song just yet. It's on a soundtrack for the movie, 'Once' and I think it only just came out. But my friend uploaded the entire thing and you can download it here. :)
Oh, wow. This is beautifully sad. Poor Lee. The edits are very well done and the song is just heartbreakingly Lee.
I watched it two times in a row, and I cried the second time all because of the editing at the end. It's the moment after Kara goes boom and Lee is screaming and it lingers in slow-mo on Lee's hand on the controls, like maybe he wants to just follow her in death. Oh, jeez, that really got me. Again, well done.
Thank you so much for your comments! I'm so glad you like the ending, because I thought it fit with the song so perfectly, with Glen singing "down down down" quietly in the background. I've heard so many people say Lee considered going down with her for at least a few seconds and I think it's absolutely true.
Boy am I glad I watched this in a strong mood, because I think I would have been a sobbing mess otherwise. In other words, I loved it!
I didn't know the artist or song but I found it a very appropriate choice for the subject matter and I liked the (deceptive) simplicity of the vid musically/visually.
It kind of gutted me on Lee's behalf and then for both of them. You did some very nice cutting of the images to suit the subject matter--nothing jarred at all; it was captivating in a 'seize your heart and squeeze it til it bleeds' kind of way! ;)

Yeah, the song itself has an extra layer of complexity when he says, "you'll be the last, you'll see" like he's trying to convince himself so it worked great with poor Leemo.
The song is by the lead singer of The Frames, from a great movie/musical called Once.
That was absolutely fantastic! Just what I needed to end the evening. I'd actually never heard the song before, but it's wonderfully fitting. Good choices all around.
holy crap, this vid needs a disclaimer "will make you weep like a baby". seriously, this was so good, edited so well. i loved the song choice as well. EXCELLENT job!
can't watch right now, cos i know i'm gonna cry harder viewing it again, will wait till tomorrow after i process!
This is wonderful, and even hard to watch at times (which is meant as a compliment). Although I think my favorite part is how you cut Fat Lee so fast that you couldn't really tell he was fat. Heeeeeeeeeee.
Hey. :) Unfortunately I lost all my original files when my old laptop crashed, which means this upload isn't going to be very good quality (downloaded it off of YouTube). The file should play in Real Player or VLC.
